Heartland Soccer to Host Annual Heartland Spring Cup at Garmin Olathe Soccer Complex

OLATHE, Kan., March 13, 2025 — Heartland Soccer Association, the largest youth soccer league and tournament host in the United States, will welcome thousands of players and their families to the annual Heartland Spring Cup this weekend, March 14-16, at the Garmin Olathe Soccer Complex.

Now in its fourth year, the tournament has grown into one of the region’s top spring events, attracting more than 175 teams from 11 states. The influx of teams and spectators is expected to generate $2.8 million in economic impact for the Kansas City area, benefiting local hotels, restaurants, and businesses.

“Each year, we see more teams traveling to Kansas City to compete in Heartland tournaments, and the Spring Cup is no exception,” said Shane Hackett, executive director of Heartland Soccer Association. “This tournament offers a competitive environment for teams of all levels, and we’re excited to once again welcome players and families to our world-class facilities. The continued growth of our events highlights the strength of our soccer community and the significant economic impact it brings to the region.”

The Heartland Spring Cup will feature live streaming and playback of all matches at Garmin Olathe Soccer Complex through VidSport, a cutting-edge sports streaming platform. This installation is the world’s largest fixed AI camera system at a soccer-specific facility, allowing fans to watch matches live or on-demand from any device. Additionally, VidSport provides individual player highlights, ensuring every key moment is captured and easily accessible.

Media are invited to cover the event, which begins Friday at 5:30 p.m., with games continuing Saturday and Sunday starting at 8 a.m.

Heartland Soccer’s tournament series continues with the Kansas City Champions Cup on April 11-13, welcoming more than 425 teams. The action continues in May with the Midwest Mother’s Day Classic and the Kansas City Invitational, rounding out the Spring Tournament series.
