Heartland Soccer Association Announces Internship Program
Kansas City, KS – July 6th- Heartland Soccer Association, America’s largest youth soccer league, announced the Sports Management and Marketing Internship Program. This program was created to provide opportunities for aspiring college students to gain experience in business, advertising, marketing, sales, sports and event management in Kansas City and the surrounding area.
“Internships played a big role in my professional career. While in college, I interned at the largest radio station in Kansas City. It provided invaluable work experience and a gateway from the academic to the work world,” explained Shane Hackett, Executive Director of Heartland Soccer Association. “I was able to work with the Royals Radio Network and ultimately start a career in radio which lead to working for Gannett and then managing radio stations across the country as well as ownership. At Heartland, we can provide sports management, marketing, business operations and event management experience for college students. It’s a great opportunity.”
