OVERLAND PARK & OLATHE, Kan., Aug. 25, 2025 – Heartland Soccer Association, the largest youth soccer league and tournament host in the U.S., has officially launched the 2025 fall season, marking the kickoff of both league and tournament play. With more than 1,388 league teams and 22,000 players ages 9 to 19 registered this fall, alongside 14 tournaments attracting more than 3,700 teams and 59,000 youth players from more than 14 states, Heartland continues to solidify Kansas City’s status as the Soccer Capital of America.
The Fall League operates across four world-class turf facilities, including the Scheels Overland Park Soccer Complex, Garmin Olathe Soccer Complex, Swope Soccer Village and Compass Minerals Sporting Fields. Open to players of all skill levels, the league welcomes recreational and premier teams from across the Midwest, fostering healthy competition among 170 soccer clubs.
“With 1,390 league teams and 22,000 players this fall, plus our tournament series bringing in thousands more from across the Midwest, Heartland continues to break records and showcase why Kansas City has become a national destination for youth soccer,” said Shane Hackett, Heartland Soccer’s executive director. “We’re especially encouraged by growth in the younger age groups, which shows the game’s future is strong. Beyond the numbers, it’s the players, coaches, referees and families who create the energy and make Heartland such a special community.”
With participation on the rise, Heartland Soccer continues to invest in technology and partnerships to support players, families and fans, including a collaboration with VidSport. This fall, VidSport will provide live streaming and on-demand replay services for matches played at the Garmin Olathe Soccer Complex. The installation represents the largest network of AI-powered cameras at a soccer-specific stadium in the country, giving families and fans the opportunity to watch games in real time or relive highlights afterward.
As Heartland expands both its reach and the fan experience, it also creates new opportunities for community and corporate partners to connect with this growing audience. Through exclusive partnership and sponsorship programs, brands can align with one of the largest and most engaged youth sports communities in the region. With visibility across premier soccer complexes, tournaments and digital platforms, sponsors gain access to more than 4 million spectators and 2.7 million annual website visits, delivering unmatched exposure and impact throughout the Midwest.
